RED is proud to announce plans for New Year’s Eve. Experience RED’s Omakase in its true form as our chefs collaborate on this once in a lifetime New Year’s Eve dinner with nine unique courses. Each course is hand selected and prepared by our chefs from a menu specially designed by Sushi Chef / Owner Jack Yip and Executive Chef Jed Spink. In collaboration, the two have created a menu to satisfy all senses.

Reservations, Cancellation Policy, & Walk-Ins
Seatings for the Omakase are available at 5 p.m., 7 p.m., and 9 p.m. Reservations may be made over the phone at 608-294-1234. Reservations may be made for groups of 2 to 7 guests. We can accommodate groups of 8 or more at our 9 p.m. seating. A credit card is required to hold your reservation. We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Any guests who no-call, no-show will forfeit their reservation spot and be subject to a charge of $25 per guest.
We will be accepting walk-ins for our sushi bar and cocktail bar, which will be serving a limited a la carte menu. Each will be honored on a first come, first serve basis.
Allergens, Dietary Restrictions, and Other Dining Concerns
An Omakase style dinner is best suited for those with an open mind, an interest in trying new food items, and the palate to take on all flavors. If you are not an adventurous diner, have a severe allergy, or maximum dietary restrictions such as a vegan or vegetarian based diet, the Omakase may not be the best choice for you. For any guests not interested in the Omakase, we recommend dining with us as a walk-in at our sushi bar or cocktail bar. Please see the host upon arrival as these seats are first come, first serve.
Substitutions are not available for Omakase. Please review the menu to determine your needs. If you have any questions or concerns, please e-mail us at [email protected] or call 608-294-1234.
Dress Code
There is no dress code for New Year’s Eve, however, we do encourage you to dress for the celebration if you feel inclined.
Parking
Parking is available street side and is free to the public after 6pm. Enjoying the evening and partaking in drinking? Tuesday is considered a holiday with free street parking, so we encourage guests to leave their vehicles and find a safe way home. We also recommend the Overture Center Parking Ramp directly behind us on 300 W. Dayton.
FAQ: Dietary Restrictions, Reservation Inquiries, and Other Information
Please read this list as your concern may already be addressed.
I have dietary restrictions, can I enjoy Omakase?
Omakase is not available for those with maximum dietary restrictions as there are no substitutions for the courses that would give you the full benefit. We will have a limited a la carte menu available.
I have dietary restrictions, but want to reserve a table.
Tables are reserved for guests enjoying the Omakase. We would recommend coming in as a walk-in where you can enjoy our limited a la carte menu at our cocktail bar or sushi bar. These spots are first come, first serve and available at any time in the evening.
I saw the menu and it looks like I can have most of the items, am I able to make substitutions?
We are unable to accommodate substitutions, however, you are welcome to omit items/courses. We will need to know specifically what your allergens or restrictions are so we can speak with our chef and call you back.
I’m a picky eater, is Omakase a good fit for me?
We recommend coming to Omakase dinner with an open mind, a ready palate, and the willingness to try all new things. You may find that you will not get full enjoyment from Omakase without these.
How big are the courses?
Courses are a good size, between 1-2 bites. They do lean towards the smaller side since there are 9 courses. This is so you are able to enjoy each course.
It’s just me and my partner. May we share an Omakase?
Guests may not split or share an Omakase.
What if we are running late for our reservation?
Being on time for your reservation will guarantee you the best experience, as all guests will be enjoying each course at the same time. However, please call if you are running late so we can hold your table for you. If you will be more than 30 minutes late, we would recommend seeing if we can bump you to the later seating.
Is this kid friendly?
If you have an adventurous child who loves eating exotic and new food items, you may absolutely bring them along.
